I got him added to friends, i'll see what names pop up when he changes.

I think you should get list of drops which are assigned to you, also be able to pick them up from that list(since i often need to toy around with my inv, but the party is already gone by the time i reorganise)and it should give you the ability to give it away or just let it be rolled for someone else. Might be hard to do and could bring some lag, but that shouldn't be a problem.
some quick fixes I would love to see:
1. be able to click/collect items when you are dead to add to your inventory
2. change colors of text to different colors<<<help tell the diference between drops for you and other party members

Trip to UW costs one single platinum. Doing all that just for free trip doesn't make any sense.

its because its easier for M/Wo to get past aatax's since the nerf, so they basicaly use you to pay them in and clear a way for them to the smites to then leave you high and dry.

and also they would be serial farming and the plat would add up. I also heard the drops are better ... think about it your a serial farmer and some group comes along that hasnt been in UW for ages...so their drops are better... if they time it right they can pick up your rare while your dead, all thay have to do is wait.

I happen to like doing UW as a Monk Warrior and I'm as honest as anyone in the game. I'm not even sure I understand what this scam is about. So, if any of you see me looking for a group to do the UW, please add me. And don't reject me just because I'm a W/M. I had scammers as much as anyone.

On our second trip to UW--first trip was good but we had lots of new people join us for #2--we had a M/W come along. He wasn't trying to scam us, in that he didn't try and kill us and take all the stuff. BUT he did not reveal his build, which hadn't been as common knowledge in our circle at the time.

He got pissed when we wondered about how he was killing stuff. "If you ask me my build one more time I'm leaving!" Plus, the unexpected, unmitigated BOREDOM for the rest of us.

It would have been nice to know ahead of time that only res sig would work on him when he eventually went down. The only sig we had needed recharging, everyone else had useless rebirth for him. So he did end up leaving when no one could res him, and we went on to get wiped as well.

So by being all secretive and nutso, he did ruin our trip for us.

Two ways that A-Net can solve this problem.

One... Re-nerf 55 build monks. Worst thing to do is to make a class complete useless and if A-Net is smart about this. They would find ways to nerf the ability of 55 build monks without pissing off that most of the community.

Two... Redo the drop system. I agree that the drop system need some slight changes. Like be able to get your drops while your dead seem to be a good idea. But if you make the drops to only be assigned for certain players than like the above poster say. If the team is out of res and say a gold storm bow dropped or a gold fellblade. Than your out of luck. The best method would be to allow players to click on the drops (as long it's within your range or aggro circle) than you can still pick it up even if your dead.

I think the best way for A-Net is to rework the drop system since nerfing skills would only get more complains and angry from the community.

I'm not for nerfing the 55 Monk but it doesn't make sense to bring one into either UW or FoW with a group doing a quest. Anyone who is secretive about anything before going in should be dumped. This is about teamwork, not individual play.

Funny, one of my UW group got a 55 build monk and boy does he suck. Keep trying to aggro all the enemies and got slaughter. The whole team laughed at him till he left.

I guess he was new to it, once the build "came out" every1 said, I need to make a monk/war! just look at monk runes they were sold out at one point. I made more with a sup-monk rune once than I did with sup vigor lol

Name and shame. Apparently this monk has been doing this in Deldrimor War Camp Dist 1 (saw a warning yesterday about them as I was heading out to do an SF run).

I was selling Bortak's Grim Cesta.

This is the conversation between us. Minus all the crap from Trade and Local.

The deal:

Once I said that I screenshotted it, she canceled the deal on me and left.

Even if the 55 monk build gets gimped, we will still own your ass and all other class farmers. There is another build out there you'll find quite nice. You'll see it more once we get the nerf bat again.

i dont think a-net will nerf 55 monk builds

1-they are against BOTS, not farmers

2-the random NMs and the scorpion things in dessert do a lot to stop bots (IMO)

3-i hope they dont, i have one ^_^ (never scammed my way into a party though, hm...actually one time i was invited and i accepted and started to spam my health, they didnt catch on a go on ahead without checking if it was ok...was that bad?)

Then, my dumbass thought "oooh, all I need to do is buy some scales, and I can can get soem scale armor crafted, since I have the leather!" So, I go to Yak bend, visit the armorer, and discover im short 50 gold for the complete set of armor. Then, my dumbass decides to go to the merchant. Ya know, to sell off my crapware stuff so that I may afford the armor I want.

This is where people need to pay attention:

ALWAYS KEEP YOUR WEAPON EQUIPPED WHEN SHOPPING.

I clicked sell on my shiny new bow.

I scammed myself with itchy mouse trigger finger...

I am a complete dumbass
you can sell weapons that are equipped in your seccondary weapon slots, it may have changed since the last time i did this, but once upon a time i lost a 300k sword to this+a well-timed lag spike.

Default Official GW Scams Thread (no posting names)

I heard all those horror stories of people getting scammed out of gold, items, etc. I *knew* it would never happen to me-no, I was too smart for that. I was dead wrong.

Well, I was having a good day yesterday. I broke a few financial records, etc. In fact, I had enough money to throw around, that I thought "what the hell, I'm going to buy a Razorstone". So I bought the Razorstone, and a bit later I get kind of bored with it and decide to sell it back for around the same price (79K-It was 77k before). Well, suddenly, a monk in the Warcamp named (Name removed for his/her privacy-more like security) comes up saying ''i'll buy''. I put up the axe, she puts up the gold, she cancels, saying that her inventory is full, and to try again. (This was late at night, and my sister was behind me pestering me for no good reason) So she says ''Try again'', I open the trade with her, put the axe up, distracted, I look in the general direction, see a "79", click accept, and the rest is history. I went to the storage agent to deposit the money, expecting to see numbers fly. I saw a small jump. I immediately checked my inventory, 0 gold. Then my stomach started to churn. I checked the chat logs, ''Traded (Name removed for his/her privacy-more like security) Razorstone for 79 gold." I immediately messaged her, threatening to report her, heck-I even offered her 30k if she would just give me my axe back (Knowing that all this was futile).

She ignored me for a while, until I saw another guy in the War Camp say ''Hey N W do you mind giving me my axe back?!?!?". A few minutes later she comes back and offers an invite (which she used to find me on the map). She comes up to me, /bow's, and says ''sell ur armor'', (which actually made sense, since I had 15k plate on, dyed black) and then she signs off. Poof-there goes 77k. Now, I am not nearly as ticked at her as I am at myself. In fact, I am not even going to report him/her. Wow, Anet might suspend him/her for 3 days. It won't make much of a difference. She played her cards right, and she won the loot. Needless to say I will always quadruple-check the money values from now on.

I'm not making this thread for sympathy, nor do I want to hear ''n00b, pwned'', it's your fault, etc. Why waste the skin cells on your fingertips to re-iterate what I just said? I am just saying #1: Watch out for N W in the War Camp and #2: Regardless of the situation: always check the price until your eyes bleed. I don't want you all losing half of your fortune in 20 seconds.

Too bad for ya man. As you said, it was late, so you're brains aren't that active anymore :P
I almost got scammed too... Some guy selling the IDS for 30K, I was OK with that. He puts up the IDS in the trade channel, and I submit the 30k, then he goes: "Oh wait, i'll give u a xmas present..", then, he changed the IDS to a stupid BLUE dyed FDS...
Lucky me i didn't accepted that

And like you said, double-double-double check if you are buying something that is worth alot... Sometimes I get so close to the screen, in case i might see another name, "I .. I C Y, ... Dr .. a .g ..on.. s..wO.rrd"
